Fashionista #69, Blue Beauty, was one of the most anticipated dolls released for the Fashionista line in 2017. From the moment her promo pic was released collectors and other doll enthusiasts alike have wanted this doll! Amazing, really. She's a play line doll! But she is unique, and beautiful, and everything this play line should be!
Blue Beauty is so called because of her hair, obviously. It is a light blue, whitish, kind of almost metallic but not color. It very pretty and goes to her waist, with little actual style to it. She has a pair of white sunglasses perched in her hair, very casual like.
She is one of the tall girls, and she has fair skin.
She's wearing a white, ruffled tank top and a suede like skirt and maroon strappy heels. It's a cute look, but not as edgy as I would expect from someone with her cool air!
Blue Beauty uses the new Teresa/Bambi face mold, which I feel is a little overused in the Fashionista line right now. The thing that elevates this version of the face above the rest is the sideways glancing eyes, they add a new dimension to this dolls character. I also love the brown eyes, it would have been too easy to give her blue or even grey eyes with the hair, but they didn't. She has natural, muted make-up and peach lips.
Once again, the hard plastic body that doesn't want to pose. Them long leggies just stick right out, and her arms can't be right by her side because they lift her body off the ground.
I can completely see people buying this doll and redressing her, she's going to look cool in so many outfits. I can also see people making her into a Goddess, a fairy, a Tolkien style elf...she has a lot of possibilities!
As I was researching this doll I noticed that the other dolls I was seeing had their shirts on cold shoulder style. Mine was not like that in the box? Manufacturing error? As you can see, I've changed it so that her shirt is now on properly, and now knowing this is how it was meant to be I wish they had called this doll Cold Shoulder instead of Blue Beauty. The icy blue hair, the top, the side glance...way better name!
