Fashionistas-Emerald Check, Fab Fringe and Denim and Dazzle

The last 3 Fashionistas of the 11 dolls I purchased from E-Bay.

Emerald Check

If I had gotten this doll as a young child I would have loved her, as an adult though she's a little plain. Emerald Check, so named for her green gingham dress, is an olive skinned, original bodied doll with a mix of dark brown and lighter caramel hair.

I have mentioned in previous posts that I am not always super-duper impressed by the Fashionistas clothing. This is one of those cases. The dress is just plain ugly. Also cheap. Also, also it looks like something a much younger doll should be wearing. It makes no sense with her platform strappy seafoam green shoes, her updo or her gold earrings. I feel like this doll could have had some awesome glamour to her if they hadn't used such a silly dress on her.
She does have a lovely face, she uses the New Teresa mould (also known as Bambi). In the picture below you can really make out her duo hair colours, which are very pretty and look absolutely great on her. Pretty brown eyes and a light pink, almost lilac lip colour finishes her face. Take a look at those gorgeous earrings as well, these are some beautiful doll earrings!
She has the typical stiff Fashionista body, but with her very basic pose, she can at least sit down somewhat normally.
Even though she's not officially named as a Teresa doll, I think of her as Teresa. The face mould, sure. The skin colour, the hair colour, the eyes...yuppers, she's a Teresa.

Fab Fringe

Insert high pitched squeal! I love her!

Of all the dolls I purchased, this is the one I really wanted. She is so lovely! Look at her, fabulous!

Fab Fringe is one of the tall dolls. She is a light/medium skinned black doll with fantastic short and curly, mahogany red hair. She comes dressed in one of the cuter outfits for the Fashionista line (IMHO). The shirt is a very light fabric, black long sleeve with a floral design on the body. She wears cool, high-waisted jean shorts that really emphasize her long legs. This doll originally came with a pair of short black booties, my doll has pink running shoes.
Such a lovely doll, how can you not love that hair? It reminds me of Rihanna back when she had her bright red hair. I will say that it seems to come out in tufts so I wouldn't be brave enough to brush it. It would probably completely ruin the curl, and leave her half bald.
She uses the New Playline Mbili mould, which is different from the Mbili mould slightly. Can I tell you how much I love it that they are using the Mbili mould for play line dolls? It always makes for a gorgeous doll!
She has pretty brown eyes and large pink lips that finish off her face nicely.
Another side shot of her face, better look at the structure of the mould.
She has a very basic pose, so she is able to sit somewhat normally. Those long legs stick right out though!
Fab Fringe is an awesome doll to redress, simply Google this doll to see the huge amount of people who have given this doll a new style, they all look amazing! Seriously, if you are a collector and you haven't picked this doll up yet, do it! I still see her in stores occasionally or grab her second hand like I did. She's going to be one that you want in your collection one day!

Denim and Dazzle

Another super cool doll, I'm happy to have this gal join the gang! Denim & Dazzle is another tall doll, with a medium light skin tone and curly dark brown hair. She's flat footed and wearing ugly black shoes. Her outfit is pretty enough, the pink and black sparkly striped top and the denim skirt, but it is not nicely made, and it is one piece. The way it fits pushes the shoulders up and makes her neck appear shorter than it actually is.
But look at her beautiful face! This is a new face mould as of 2016, and as of right now it is just called New Mould 6. However, among doll collectors her face is known as "Greek", and it's easy to see why. Look at that slightly hooked nose, how great is it on her face?
I love her beautiful dark hair, big curls and a twist on top. Her big, bright eyes and medium pink lips are perfect on her face.
I've put 3 pictures below so you can see her face from a few different angles.

Like all other current Fashionistas, she has the hard, un poseable body. At least she is in a basic pose, she can sit, and even stand on her own.
I'm calling her Stephanie. Denim and Dazzle aka Stephanie.
This doll would be perfect if Mattel ever releases a Star Trek The Next Generation set of dolls because she is the spitting image of this character:
I get credit if you do this Mattel!
