Fashionista #60, also known as Patchwork Denim, was released to the Fashionista line in early 2017. Much like Blue Beauty, she attracted a lot of early attention because of her cool hair and unique face.
I had originally believed that she was going to be a tall doll, but she's actually an original bodied doll.
She wears a cute blue patchwork style dress that almost looks like a romper. It's fairly simple, but it's not as bad as some of the other Fashionista outfits. Her shoes are from the late 90's, Baby Spice style white platform runners. Her only accessory is a chunky white wristwatch.
Her hair is very cool looking, but it is a messy pain in person. It does not look nice and straight and smooth, it's raggedy! It falls out in chunks. It has something in it that makes it hard...almost like, um, something left over after a sexual act...dried in her hair. Yuck. I'm going to try washing it out and hopefully, it will restyle well. The colour is super cool awesome, with tones of orange, pink and peach.
This doll's face paint is very basic, basically thick black eyeliner and natural pink lips. It doesn't look bad, but it's simple. She has a pale skin tone that looks nice with the hair colour.
The most interesting thing (for me) about this doll was her face mold because I can't remember seeing it before. Looking around online I couldn't find a lot about it. My most trusted source for doll faces, Katti's Dolls is calling her face mold "Asian". Ok, I guess? I didn't think of her as Asian, but apparently, other collectors want her to be.
And she sits! Awkwardly, but it's possible. Getting her to cross her legs took a bit of pressure, but it happened. All in all, I think Blue Beauty is a nicer doll, but Patchwork Denim has possibilities too, and I'm sure well see plenty of her as redressed or OOAK dolls.
